About Us
Booroongen Djugun specialises in providing Community Care and Residential Care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders in the Kempsey area, offering a space to access culturally-informed care. We’re also a Registered Training Organisation, offering vocational education and training to staff and community members looking to broaden their horizons and enter the workforce.
The space itself was designed with the totems of fire, water, earth, and sun in mind, in order to support the strong ties to traditional life that many clients of Booroongen Djugun hold.

About the role
Provide a range of administrative and office administration support including but not limited to the facilitation in the organisation of Department of Communities and Justice Restrictive Practice Panel Hearings when necessary National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Key responsibilities and duties

Have clear understanding of Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) and Reportable Incident (RIs) and obligations to report
-
Report and refer all complaints following the feedback and complaints management and resolution System

Report and refer all incidents following the incident management system
General Administration
-
Reception duties including answering telephone calls and being a first point of contact for consumers of Booroongen Djugun Service Delivery Team (SDT)
-
Clerical support tasks including: mail distribution, maintaining correspondence logs, photocopying, filing and minute taking, ordering stationary supplies, maintaining Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Word processing services for all staff of Booroongen Djugun Service Delivery team.

Data collection, collation and entry into a computerised data management system and the compilation of statistical reports as required by the coordinator.

Check service reports for potential incidents and RIs daily and escalate to Service Delivery Team Leader (SD, TL) and/or Executive Manager, Community Care & Service Delivery (EM, CCSD)

Providing support to SD, TL for facilitation of scheduling panel discussions for Unauthorised Restrictive Practice (URP) panels.

Rostering Duties

Maintain and monitor support worker roster

Assist in rostering duties, as directed by SD, TL

Monitoring of the daily rosters

Contacting Consumers and Participants when necessary

Maintain excel spreadsheets (service breakdowns, service requests)

Implement service request as directed by SD, TL
