Care
We are located on the Dunghutti lands and our purpose is to provide healthcare services to our people. Our buildings are positioned with respect to the Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, and are designed to honor our Ancestors. The site features Rammed earth walls, open spaces, a pond, and Aboriginal art by Milton Budge (Governance Prize winner) and Than Coopie (Renowned ceramic artist).
Join us around the Fire Pit where we celebrate our friendships and cultural connections with Johnny cakes and damper. Our facility offers 3 different levels of residential and respite care, including low care hostel units, high care places, and a safe and secure environment for special care needs.
Our grounds are home to a variety of native plants and animals, while inside you will find a range of communal areas and activity rooms, including comfortable lounge rooms with TVs and Wi-Fi, a library room, a function room, and dining rooms. The rammed earth walls provide a comfortable temperature all year round.
You can even enjoy our visiting hairdresser, beauty salon, and wellness center that offers a private place to enjoy cooking, sewing, crafting, and barbecues with friends.
Home cooked country style meals are our speciality! The pride of our Kitchen is the chicken snizzle, our Friday fish and chips or fisherman basket, casseroles and seasonal salads.
We love our scones jam and cream, our bush tucker johnny cakes and damper. Our fresh fruit and veggies sourced locally and variety of choice at every meal that are reviewed by a dietician and offer a variety of options that cater to all residents.
Our residents provide feedback on the menu to ensure choice and style are created to make sure that their preferences are reflected as much as possible.
Between mealtimes, we provide mid-morning and afternoon tea and supper so there’s always something to delight your senses. You can choose to eat in our dining rooms or, if you’d prefer, you can dine in the comfort of your own room, or lounge rooms.
