About Us
Booroongen Djugun Limited (BDL) is a unique Aboriginal community-controlled organisation located on the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales. We proudly operate a Residential Care Facility dedicated to meeting the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of Aboriginal people while honouring their rich traditions and customs. Our facility is situated in the beautiful area of Greenhill, Kempsey, and offers a variety of care options designed to accommodate the diverse needs of our residents. We extend our services to both Aboriginal and non-Indigenous individuals, including those with disabilities who may find it challenging to maintain their independence within the community.
Our Community Care Services offer a variety of supportive programs, including Compacks, Commonwealth Home Support Packages (CHSP), Home Care Packages (HCP), and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) support. These services are carefully designed to support elderly individuals and those with disabilities in their daily tasks, allowing individuals to live comfortably and independently in their own homes.
In addition to our care services, we operate a registered training college aimed at empowering individuals from both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal backgrounds. Our experienced educators provide a range of accredited courses and traineeships that equip students with essential skills and knowledge. Located in Kempsey, our campus offers a supportive environment for hands-on training, ensuring students gain practical experience and the confidence needed to succeed.
At Booroongen Djugun Limited, we strive to create a warm and welcoming community where every resident, client, student, and community member feels appreciated and supported. We aim to enhance their quality of life within a nurturing environment, fostering a strong sense of belonging and connection for all who enter our doors.
