About the Role
Working with the Residential Facility leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the food services team ensuring the smooth operation of all functions within the kitchen. This includes, but not limited to meal planning, stock control, daily schedules and temperatures, rosters and management of kitchen/catering staff. This role is also required to undertake cooking duties on a weekly roster.
You will be have demonstrated ability to lead and supervise staff including rostering, training and leave management, home style cooking skills and menu planning, understanding of food safety standards, food production, stock management and control, and infection control policies and procedures. Experience working in an Aged Care Facility is highly desirable (but not essential).
