About this Course

This qualification is designed to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge required to excel in your role as a Care Worker for elderly individuals and those with disabilities, whether you work in a residential environment or within the community. What you will learn

Completing this qualification, you will develop your skills as a professional aged care and disability support worker. The units will equip you with the knowledge and competencies required to excel in your role, with an emphasis on compassion and ethics. During work placement, you will have the opportunity to apply your learning in real-world settings over 120 hours of the required placement.

 

You will:

  • Assist residents & clients with their personal care and domestic duties to contribute to their health and well-being.

  • Contribute to residents & clients' social and emotional well-being and health, in a caring and nurturing environment.

  • Learn manual handling techniques to assist residents and clients with their mobility and transfers following WHS guidelines.

  • Support clients with the NDIS system and how to gain access to the supports they need.

  • Empower clients and resident's independence with their ability to achieve their goals

  • Create a supportive network for those in your care by developing supportive and meaningful relationships with carers and families

By enrolling in this course, you will be well-prepared to deliver compassionate, culturally safe care to individuals in both the aged care and disability sectors, by providing comprehensive support in a wide range of areas.

Course Duration

This course is structured to be completed within an approximate 12 month timeframe 

Times will vary with each student, be sure to enquire about credit transfers, RPL or personal requirements 

Cost

Full Fee: $8,625.00

Please note: this course may be fee free or available at at reduced cost.

Payment Options

There are 15 units to complete for this qualification, at a cost of $575.00 per unit. This payment is due before commencement of each unit of competency.

 

If, for any reason, you are unable to complete the course no further cost is payable.
