About this Course
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who provide self-directed, recovery-oriented support for individuals affected by mental illness and psychiatric disability. The work involves implementing community-based programs and activities that focus on mental health.
In order to obtain this qualification, the candidate is required to fulfill a minimum of 80 hours of work as outlined in the Assessment Requirements of the competency units.

Completing this qualification, you will develop your skills as a professional mental health worker. The units will equip you with the knowledge and competencies required to excel in your role, with an emphasis on trauma informed care, social and emotional wellbeing compassion, and ethics. During work placement, you will have the opportunity to apply your learning in real-world settings over 80 hours of the required placement.

Payment Options
There are 15 units to complete for this qualification, at a cost of $600.00 per unit. This payment is due before commencement of each unit of competency.
